About Me

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at University of North Carolina Greensboro. I was a a postdoctoral research scientist in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Columbia University under the supervision of Prof. Chunhua Weng. I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University under the supervision of Prof. Kenneth Loparo and received my M.E. degree my B.E. degree in Software Engineering from Xidian University, Xi’an, China.

Research

My research interests include Information Retrieval, Machine Learning and Software Engineering with applications in large clinical information acquisition, mining and visualization that help solving important healthcare problems. I am also interested in web text mining and retrieval.

[8.2022] I have joined the department of Computer Science at University of North Carolina Greensboro this fall!

[3.2022] Our paper “Combining Human and Machine Intelligence for Clinical Trial Eligibility Querying” was accepted by JAMIA directly without any revision!
